Home Manual provides general educational information about household problems. It does not replace an inspection, professional diagnosis, manufacturer instructions, building regulations, emergency services or advice from a suitably qualified professional.

Safety

Follow the safety boundaries shown in each guide. Do not carry out work that is beyond your competence or that should legally or safely be handled by a qualified professional. If a situation appears dangerous or urgent, deal with the immediate safety risk before using a quote form.

Quote requests

The quote feature sends information to a third-party partner that may introduce you to tradespeople. Home Manual does not guarantee that a tradesperson will respond, that any particular tradesperson is suitable for your job, or that you must hire anyone who contacts you. The partner’s own homeowner terms and privacy policy also apply when you submit.

Accuracy and updates

We aim to keep guidance accurate and useful, but homes, products, regulations and individual faults vary. Review dates show when the substance of a guide was checked; they are not a guarantee that every circumstance is covered.
