What Home Manual does

Home Manual publishes practical UK home-problem guidance and provides an optional service for homeowners who want to request contact from suitable tradespeople.

Information we collect

If you submit a quote request, we collect the details you enter in the form, such as your name, email address, phone number, postcode and description of the work. We also record limited operational information such as the source page, selected job category, Home Manual lead reference, partner response and campaign attribution where present.

Our internal lead log is designed to retain operational and attribution data rather than a second unnecessary copy of your full contact details. Contact details are sent securely to the quote partner when you submit the request.

MyJobQuote quote requests

Home Manual currently uses MyJobQuote as the third-party partner that processes homeowner quote requests and connects them with tradespeople. Before submission, the form shows and asks you to agree to the relevant MyJobQuote homeowner terms and privacy policy.

Analytics and advertising measurement

Analytics or advertising measurement is loaded only when it is configured on the site and you choose to accept non-essential cookies. You can use Home Manual and read its guides without accepting those optional technologies.

Why we use information

We use information to provide the service you request, protect the forms from abuse, troubleshoot submissions, understand which Home Manual pages are useful, measure referrals and improve the problem library.

Retention and security

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected for, legal/accounting requirements, fraud prevention and resolving referral or service issues. Access to production credentials is kept server-side and secrets are not published in the website source.
